Professional Tubeless Puncture Repair
Driving with a slow leak or a small puncture compromises tire safety and fuel efficiency. At MK Tyres we provide fast, professional Tubeless Puncture Repair services for cars, SUVs, and bikes. Using industry-standard patch-and-plug vulcanization methods, we ensure a permanent, airtight seal that restores the structural integrity of your tyre casing.
Our Puncture Repair Process & Safety Checklist
Phase 1: Damage & Suitability Inspection
Before repair, our certified technicians perform a critical inspection of the damage. For safety, we only repair a tyre if it meets the following criteria:
Repairable Zone: The puncture is located within the central tread area (not the sidewall or shoulder).
Damage Size: The puncture diameter is less than 6mm (for passenger tyres).
Structural Integrity: The tyre has sufficient tread depth, shows no signs of internal separation, and has not been driven ‘flat’.
Phase 2: Permanent Vulcanization Repair
If the tyre is safe for repair, we proceed with our professional process:
Cleaning: The puncture area is thoroughly cleaned and prepared.
Patch & Plug: An internal ‘mushroom’ style patch-and-plug unit is applied.
Vulcanization: Specialized rubber cement creates a permanent chemical bond (vulcanization) between the repair unit and the tyre casing, preventing slow air seepage.
When a Tyre Cannot Be Repaired (Safety First)
For your safety, MK Tyres will always recommend tyre replacement instead of repair under the following severe conditions:
Sidewall / Shoulder Punctures: Any damage in these high-flex zones cannot be safely repaired.
Large Punctures: Damage exceeding 6mm or gash/cut-style punctures.
Run-Flat Damage: Internal casing degradation caused by driving the tyre while significantly underinflated.
Old / Compromised Tyres: Tyres with insufficient tread depth, dry rot, or obvious structural damage.
